International Press Liaison

The Foundation is currently seeking volunteer Press Liaisons to formulate and implement its media strategy. You must be a responsible professional who is passionate about peace-building, an innovative thinker who can deliver results, on time and with minimum supervision. Multicultural experience strongly preferred.

Number of Press Liaisons required: 2-3


  • Formulate appropriate media strategy for the Foundation
  • Research and cultivate a list of press contacts appropriate for the Foundation and its aims
  • Liaise with media outlets (both on- and off-line) and peace bloggers to broadcast news about the Foundation
  • Produce press releases about the Foundation when appropriate
  • Research and produce papers in accordance to institutional calls for papers
  • Work with the Marketing/PR team to produce press packets for distribution
  • Work together with Fundraising and Marketing/PR team to formulate a seamless marketing and business-development strategy
  • Adapting foundation information into the native language of the country where you plan to work


  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Background in Journalism, Marketing or PR
  • Possessing good knowledge of the blogosphere and social media news pipeline
  • Have existing press contacts a plus
  • Startup experience preferable
  • Self-starters and innovative thinkers who are comfortable working with a team as well as independently

Language requirements:

  • English fluency a must
  • Fluency in the language of the country in which you plan to work
  • Additional languages strongly preferred

This job calls for an on-going part-time commitment of 2-3 days per week. As we operate a virtual office, you can work from home at your own schedule, with bi-monthly progress/assessment meetings over Skype.
