The Foundation is currently seeking volunteer Fundraisers/Grant Writers who thrive in the start-up environment. You must be a responsible professional who is passionate about peace-building, an innovative thinker who can deliver results, on time and with minimum supervision. Multicultural experience strongly preferred.

Number of Fundraisers required: 2-3

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate appropriate funding strategy for the Foundation
  • Research and compile a list of appropriate funding solutions (government, foundations, individuals, etc.)
  • Grant researching and grant writing: preparing and managing information for the application of foundation grants
  • Liaise with funding organizations
  • Cultivating and soliciting donors and sponsors, both private individuals and companies
  • Adapting foundation information into the native language of the country where you plan to fundraise

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and/or event planning
  • Experience fundraising for non-profit startups a plus
  • Must be knowledgeable about domestic and foreign charity funding pipelines in the country from which you work
  • Self-starters and innovative thinkers who are comfortable working with a team as well as independently

Language requirements:

  • English fluency a must
  • Fluency in the language of the country in which you plan to work
  • Additional languages strongly preferred

This job calls for an on-going part-time commitment of 2-3 days per week. As we operate a virtual office, you can work from home at your own schedule, with bi-monthly progress/assessment meetings over Skype.
